Senior photography can be yet another expense on what is a crazy year of expenses. Four kids of my own here…I get it. I do believe that senior photography is a once in a lifetime opportunity to document who your senior is right now. But I also believe that it shouldn’t cost thousands of dollars! 

Most photographers fall into two categories. The first will charge a small session fee to shoot but then require you to schedule a separate sales meeting where the upselling on digital downloads, photo prints, and various add ons happens, often with a very high minimum order amount. Others skip the sales model and essentially charge that minimum order amount as their session fee. You may receive the digitals but you end up paying even more when you have to add on prints and other products, totally on your own.

I try to find balance between the two. Every one of my session fees, detailed below, always include…

• No minimum order amounts, no high pressure sales presentations or upselling–just what you need, purchased online and shipped directly to you.
